From String Art to Dream Catchers

I know I know!! But hear me out.

Originally this artwork was supposed to be a string art creation that symbolized the complexities of life and how different choices determining different outcomes. If you move one string you affect the whole pattern.

But I really struggled with the string art and I was about to give up. I decided to rather let the string art be a starting point and then see where my creativity takes me.

I was really drawn to the history of string art, as it was a concept created by a woman named Mary Everest Boole as a way to teach mathematics to students. As an educator, it is very important to demonstrate ways in which arts can be used in a variety of different educational subjects. Her idea was published in 1962 as the Beizer Curve.
